Kevin Nash Responds to New Report of WWE “Release”

While it very clearly appears to be a storyline follow-up to what happened on Monday’s RAW, likely to setup a surprise involvement in the Triple H vs. CM Punk match at Night of Champions, WWE.com’s announcement that Kevin Nash was released from his contract is apparently being backed by the man himself.

Tying the “release” to reports that he was pulled from his originally-booked Night of Champions match over a medical issue, Nash wrote on Twitter, “To set the record straight, I passed physical w/ flying colors. Cardiologist was amazed at my lipid profile. Couldn’t reach financial terms.”

He added, “I will not be addressing this matter again. I am moving forward with my life. Cena, it was great having the chance to get to know you.”

Still, quotes from Nash or not, all indications are that this is a work.
