WWE Wrestler Accused of Assault, New Summerslam Match Confirmed

Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett has officially been added to Summerslam. That makes the official match count five, with John Cena vs. CM Punk, Randy Orton vs. Christian, Beth Phoenix vs. Kelly Kelly and Sheamus vs. Mark Henry also on the show.

— Reports broke this week that an Atlanta security guard has accused WWE’s Heath Slater of assaulting her during WrestleMania 27 weekend.

Corinne Oliver, who was working for Allied Barton Security, alleges that Slater grabbed her by the neck and tried to force her into his hotel room in the early morning hours after ‘Mania.

The alleged force came after Oliver, who was working security at the post-WrestleMania party, rejected his flirtatious advances.

She claims that by wrestling out of the hold, she experienced back pains.

Slater, at press time, had not commented publicly, but Channel 2 Action News in the Atlanta area credits an anonymous source for the wrestler’s denial. He supposedly claims he was with his fiancee that night and that no such incident occurred.

WWE’s outside counsel Jerry McDevitt, meanwhile, offered the comment that the allegations are only against Slater and have nothing to do with WWE as a company.
