News on When WWE Will Announce Brock Lesnar Deal

F4WOnline.com reports that WWE’s mysterious “licensing deal” with Brock Lesnar is expected to be announced formally this September.

WWE originally wanted to announce the deal last month but then postponed its plans until Summerslam. Lesnar, however, is presently at home and disconnected from a business standpoint, and he reportedly expressed his opposition to promoting anything this summer.

Hence the September date for the announcement, which would come at a time when Lesnar is available to do the relevant PR.

As noted, WWE’s deal with Lesnar (which reportedly involved a sign-off from UFC) has been done for quite a while, so UFC President Dana White’s recent meeting with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was evidently about something else.
