Following CM Punk Promos, Colt Cabana Works WWE Match

Colt Cabana, who previously worked in WWE under the Scotty Goldman moniker, worked a dark match at Tuesday’s SmackDown! taping.

Cabana lost to Wade Barrett in the bout.

A popular indy act, Cabana’s run with WWE was not a particularly-successful one, and he was released from his contract in 2009.

CM Punk, who is close friends with the wrestler, referenced Cabana in his “worked shoot” promos ahead of WWE Money in the Bank, notably identifying him as someone who was unceremoniously (and presumably undeservedly) fired by Vince McMahon.
