TVLine reported Tuesday that Terry O’Quinn, who won an Emmy for his turn as John Locke on ABC’s “Lost,” is heading to CBS for a recurring role on “Hawaii 5-0.”

There, O’Quinn will reunite with his “Lost” co-star Daniel Dae Kim, who is a regular on the show.

The TVLine story says O’Quinn will “Navy Seal Lt. Commander who trained Alex O’Loughlin’s McGarrett in Coronado, and served with his father in Vietnam.” The character reportedly possesses some answers and insights about the murders of McGarrett’s parents.

O’Quinn had been part of Marc Cherry’s “Hallelujah” pilot this season, but the show was not picked up to series.
