“Harry’s Law” Drops Two Characters Ahead of Season Two

TVLine reported Tuesday that NBC’s returning dramedy “Harry’s Law” will not feature Brittany Snow and Aml Ameen as regular members of the cast going forward.

Reported as a “mutual decision” to part ways, the door is open for the actors, who played Jenna and Malcolm, respectively, to return as guest characters. Stars Kathy Bates and Nate Corddry will return.

Snow’s turn, in particular, had been panned even by fans of the show (and actress), as it often felt as if the Jenna character was simply there for the sake of being there. Some development existed around Malcolm, an intelligent, yet troubled youth who joined the law firm as a paralegal to right his course, but by the end of the first season, the character had no role beyond a half-hearted relationship with Jenna.
