ABC Cancels “V,” “Better with You,” “Brothers & Sisters,” More Ahead of Upfronts

ABC got into the television development buzz game Friday, and while it extended quite a few orders to some comedy and drama pilots, it brought bad news for many of its bubble series.

No longer being considered for next season are “V,” “Better with You,” “Brothers & Sisters,” “No Ordinary Family,” “Off the Map,” “Detroit 1-8-7” and “Mr. Sunshine.”

None had the ratings to truly justify renewals, although there had been buzz that “Brothers & Sisters” was being considered for an abridged final season.

On the positive side, “Body of Proof” and “Happy Endings” will return next year.
