NBC Shocker as “Wonder Woman” Looks Out, “Harry’s Law” Likely Getting Renewal

While television news on Tuesday belonged to FOX, which dumped all of its bubble series and picked up a number of pilots, Wednesday is centered on NBC. And the news is already kicking off with a big surprise.

According to various sources, “Wonder Woman” is no longer a serious contender for a pickup at the Peacock. Buzz had definitely cooled on the David E. Kelley adaptation/reboot in recent weeks, but given all the fanfare and hype earlier in the development season, it still comes as a shock that NBC is likely going to pass on the series outright.

The news is not all bad for Kelley and his fans, however. Variety and Deadline both report that “Harry’s Law,” which delivered big viewership numbers but a modest adults 18-49 performance in its freshman season, is likely to score a second season renewal.

  1. Like everyone thought this pile of dog waste was going to fly. NBC along with David Kelley, who can suck it btw, are all IDIOTS for destroying a super hero like this. Every f ing moron who slaughtered this icon belongs out of work for tearing Wonder Woman to shreds. First, the story is NOTHING Wonder Woman at all. Then you throw a slap together photo together in five minutes with Adrianne dressed as a hooker in a WW outfit that looks like it exploded in a xxx shop. Then you change it where it looks just as bad or worse like it came from Kmart. Kelley writes Diana selling dolls of herself carrying on about her breast size, killing baddies, torturing people,no story of where she came from. At least not a proper orgin story. Wonder Woman fans have been waiting since the mid to late 90’s for a kick a movie and instead we are handed a TV show that’s worse sounding then a Mad TV parody skit . I’m sure Adrianne has the chops for the role but it was F’D UP before they even hired her. You have to be mental to think this nasty dumpster waste will come out smelling like a rose. You look at the generic work being handed to fans by a writer who knows ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about Wonder Woman and you expect fans to be excited??? WTF ever!! FAIL!!! And I ask again, are you seriously surprised this will not go far? Your a moron if so. Bionic Woman all over again.

  2. They should air the pilot, and see what kind of ratings it gets. That’s how the original Wonder Woman tv show got started. The 3 pilots that aired all had huge ratings. With all of the buzz about Wonder Woman going on for the past several months millions of people are going to be watching even if it’s just out of curiousity.
