More Big WWE Draft News, Rumored Changes, Top RAW Name To SmackDown!

It is no secret that the loss of Edge as SmackDown’s top regular babyface played a key role in moving the annual WWE roster draft to April, but according to F4WOnline.com, WWE was still going back-and-forth on which top RAW babyface will be sent to the Friday show.

While various rumors have come out regarding names headed to RAW (with Alberto Del Rio, Beth Phoenix and even Undertaker at the forefront), lips have been sealed on which major names are SmackDown!-bound, largely because WWE had reportedly not reached a final decision by Monday morning.

Sources add that Vince McMahon is currently in a long-term mindset (see confirming The Rock vs. John Cena for next year’s WrestleMania) and thus wants the draft moves to align with a long-term vision for the Summerslam pay-per-view.

Many are curious to see how WWE will handle the draft on this year’s RAW. While the roster draft has previously received a three-hour telecast, this year’s is on a two-hour episode that also has other goals (namely promoting Extreme Rules) in its view.
