Strange WWE Rumor Emerges Regarding Issues With Superstar, Diva

A strange rumor, linked to PWTorch.com, has emerged regarding backstage tension that existed between John Morrison and Trish Stratus as part of their WrestleMania match.

The story going around alleges that Melina and Morrison felt Stratus unfairly took Melina’s spot on the WrestleMania card and thus made things difficult for Stratus during preparation for the bout. It was unclear whether Morrison, himself, held Trish in contempt or was merely doing what he felt was needed to show his loyalty to Melina, but the feeling was that he definitely gave the veteran Diva the could shoulder.

Morrison allegedly refused some of Stratus’ suggestions for the match, apparently hurting her feelings in the process. Given Stratus’ standing with WWE officials, it was considered a heat-generating move for the RAW babyface.

Of note, however, is the fact that Melina never would have been a serious candidate for the babyface component of the six-man tag. Kelly Kelly was, in fact, tentatively booked for the match at one point, so she would be far more justified in resenting either Stratus or Snooki (not that she does). Eve, though never seriously mentioned in conjunction with that match, also would have been a more logical pick for the babyface team, F4WOnline.com explains.

That logical gap thus raises suspicions about the story.

But that does not mean John Morrison did not make any waves over the course of WrestleMania weekend. Twitter comments made by Sean “X-Pac” Waltman strongly suggest Morrison generated a fair share of heat. He initially wrote, “@trishstratuscom It was wonderful seeing u this weekend. U r a true professional, unlike someone else in your match & I dont mean Snookie.”

When confronted about the comment, he told a follower, “it wasn’t a dis. The person I referred to, did the dissing. Very surprised and disappointed by the unprofessionalism” When that follower “assumed” it was Dolph Ziggler, Waltman wrote back, “u assume wrong.”
