WWE Announcer Says WrestleMania 27 Return Was One-Time Deal

Fans were undoubtedly excited to experience Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross reunite to call the final few matches on Sunday’s WWE WrestleMania 27, but according to the latter announcer himself, they will not stay together going forward.

“Still celebrating my 1 off appearence @ wm27. Loved worked w/ @jerrylawler again. Not plans @ this time 2 reunite. Happy 2 b on the team,” Tweeted Ross.

As of press time, there were indeed no plans for a permanent Ross return, although the fact that he was used Sunday indicates WWE is at least warmer on having him in the booth than it was last year. At WrestleMania 26, despite urging from headliners Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker, Vince McMahon rejected the idea of using Ross as the play-by-play guy.
