“American Idol” Eliminations Continue On Latest Results Show, Top 11 Revealed

Another Thursday meant another “American Idol” elimination, and as with last week, the confirmed result was the furthest thing from a shocker.

The eliminated contestant had struggled in two consecutive weeks of the finals, and had garnered the worst cumulative ranking of the twelve “Idol” finalists in Headline Planet’s performance show review.

That contestant, as many will have guessed, was Karen Rodriguez, who waves goodbye after a disappointing version of “Love Will Lead You Back.” The judges were not particularly enthused, and this website’s review placed her tenth for the night (ahead of Naima Adedapo, who did appear to potentially be in danger, and Casey Abrams, whose polarizing performance likely did little to upset his fanbase).

Adedapo and Haley Reinhart joined Rodriguez in the bottom three, with Reinhart again being the second of the three sent to safety.

The remaining eleven contestants–Abrams, Adedapo, Reinhart, Thia Megia, Pia Toscano, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Jacob Lusk, Stefano Langone and Paul McDonald–take the stage next Wednesday.
