“Parks & Recreation” Star Eyed as Charlie Sheen’s Replacement on “Men?”

Charlie Sheen might have been fired, but CBS’ “Two and a Half Men” could indeed return to television for its ninth season next fall.

TMZ reports that showrunner Chuck Lorre has been holding “internal meetings” about keeping the show going, and a short list has been developed to find a potential replacement for Sheen’s central character.

According to the report, one of the names on that list is Rob Lowe, who has recently been seen on “Parks and Recreation.” Obviously, Lowe’s tenure on NBC’s “Parks” would have to definitively end for him to be able to accommodate “Men,” but it is believed that hopeful representatives for the CBS show have already sent feelers to Lowe’s agent.

Another issue that could stand in the way of Lowe’s participation on “Men,” the story notes, is the fact that Lowe “grew up with the Sheen family.”
