Buzz For The Rock, Triple H Keeps WWE RAW Rating Steady

The build to this year’s WWE WrestleMania, which includes an appearance from The Rock and a big Triple H-Undertaker match, has been paying off in the RAW ratings.

WWE nearly matched last week’s 3.85 cable coverage rating for RAW with a 3.82 this week. Though this week might have received a slight benefit from its taped Rock promo, which was confirmed online Monday afternoon, last week’s telecast undoubtedly received a boost from viewers who thought The Rock would make a second consecutive RAW appearance.

WWE hopes to continue its ratings hot streak next week; the episode features an advertised appearance from “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

As for this week’s show, its rating in the adults 18-49 demographic (a far more important metric than the aforementioned “rating” that wrestling websites post) was a 2.2. The viewership averaged at 5.60 million.
