WWE Confirms The Rock as WrestleMania Host, Dwayne Johnson on RAW

Revealed as the special guest host for this year’s WWE WrestleMania 27 event, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson returned to WWE television in the final segment of Monday’s WWE RAW.

Rumored to be The Rock all week, the host announcement featured a tease of a bait-and-switch; prior to the final segment, a woman’s legs were shown getting out of a limo backstage. This hinted that the guest host would be female, but sure enough, WWE went with the most marquee name available in pro wrestling–Dwayne Johnson.

Justin Bieber and Bob Barker have both been rumored for involvement in the show, but neither was expected to take on the actual hosting duties.
