“Friday Night Lights,” “Transformers” Actresses Likely for “Charlie’s Angels” Pilot?

Former “Friday Night Lights” actress Minka Kelly, whose profile has been raised via her Esquire Sexiest Woman Alive feature and an upcoming starring role in “The Roommate,” is reportedly close to a deal to join ABC’s upcoming “Charlie’s Angels” reboot.

According to Deadline, negotiations currently call for Kelly and “Transformers” actress Rachael Taylor to join as two of the three ‘angels’ in the upcoming pilot. Annie Ilonzeh has already been cast.

Kelly’s character, set to receive a name change, is currently billed as Marisa, a former US marine and weapons expert who is well-versed in various forms of combat and also a “neat freak.”

Taylor would play Abby, an expert con artist and Krav Maga practitioner whose father is a notoriously corrupt Wall Street executive, while Ilonzeh is in as Kate, an intelligent ex-cop and martial arts expert.
