Backstage WWE Update on Dolph Ziggler, Royal Rumble News and Plans

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Dolph Ziggler will be under the internal WWE spotlight at the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

According to the story, the feeling is that Ziggler’s recent work has garnered him key lockerroom support as a true main-event prospect, and a strong performance at the Royal Rumble could be what it takes to seal the deal.

There have, however, been some concerns about Ziggler’s ability to elicit a crowd reaction, so detractors could seize on minimal heat for his Rumble title match as proof that he does not have what it takes.

F4WOnline.com pointed to Ted DiBiase as an example of a performer whose backstage support has not yet been enough to catapult him into legitimate superstardom.
