Backstage attention in recent weeks has been paid to the future of CM Punk, who is currently serving as part of WWE RAW’s commentary team.
Punk is due to return to the ring shortly–and is even featured on house show cards for later this month–and WWE will thus need to decide how to address his future as an announcer. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, he has recently been generating a lot of praise for his work at the table, which definitely complicates future plans.
— Regarding news of R-Truth being hospitalized with an illness, F4WOnline.com reports that he suffered from pneumonia. Sources say Truth went into convulsions on the road; as he was with a group of coworkers that included Rey Mysterio and Jack Doan, he was able to be rushed to the hospital. At the time, it was noted that if Truth was not getting oxygen to his brain and had he not so hastily received medical care, the consequences could have been far more dire.
