Wednesday’s “Psych” tribute to “Twin Peaks” did more than simply delight television critics and fans of the cult David Lynch classic; it spurred an improved rating for the USA Network comedy.

The extended episode, cutely entitled “Dual Spires,” garnered a viewership average of 3.543 million with a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating. Compared to the last original airing, the audience was up by more than 500,000 total viewers and by 30% in the demo.

Elsewhere on cable, FX’s “Terriers” wrapped its first season with a 0.3 rating and 784,000 viewers. Though far from a laudable performance, viewership was at least up over the prior airing.
