WWE’s official website has committed itself to treating John Cena’s worked, storyline “firing” as legitimate.
Even though few can possibly believe that, by virtue of Randy Orton’s victory at Survivor Series, John Cena is truly done with WWE, WWE.com today moved Cena’s profile to the “alumni” section of the website. The move mirrors what WWE.com would have done had Cena actually decided to embark on a hiatus from the company.
Interestingly, not all facets of WWE’s promotional machine are selling the Cena storyline. During Monday’s RAW, local house show ads from numerous domestic markets confirmed appearances from the wrestler.

Shawn Michaels and John Cena were the main reasons why I watched WWE. I know that this show is nothing short of a male soap opera, but, nonetheless, it was interesting to watch. Me being a woman in all. Shawn Michaels left and that killed me. But, at the time I still had John Cena to fall on. Now that he has left, I probably will not watch WWE anymore. I imagine that a lot of fans will stop watching it. I can say that if I hear that he is back on, then I will watch it again but only if he comes back. I don’t know. The story lines there at WWE are crazy. Who ever heard of a wrestler with no stock in WWE ‘firing’ another wrestler. Why was that stipulation even allowed?

Totally agree with the comment above storyline or not, surely by now vince and his croneys (creative team/writers) have royally screwed up on this one, this storyline should have been faded out as this as caused alot of major upset with fans around the world after what transpired after sundays events firing cena has been totally blown out of order, bring cena back to regular television now if vince wants his company to stay afloat as theres to many big name out or retired now the nexus/cena storyline was fun at first but as become stale and as left a bad taste in many a mouth get it sorted vince like NOW
