Matt Hardy Responds to News of His WWE Release

Moments after WWE posted news of Matt Hardy’s official release from the roster, the eccentric former Superstar issued public comments on Twitter.

“Thank God,” wrote Hardy. “I swear.. It was harder for me to get released [than] it was to get hired! This is ABSOLUTELY what I want, now I can be me!

“I wanna thank WWE for giving me an opportunity, & I thank all the people & friends that helped me there. But I HAD to move on to be happy.

“I wanna thank JR, who hired me, Michael Hayes, who taught me SO much, & Vince, for letting me make a living & learn from him for 12 years.”

Hardy, who has scarcely hidden his interest in a jump to TNA Wrestling once permissable, added, “While some of you make look at this as an ending-I promise you, this is THE MUTHAF*CKING BEGINNING FOR MATT HARDY! Now I can create change!”

  1. Good for Matt Hardy! I’m not a TNA fan, but if he goes there, I’ll be one!
I’ve been watching him for twelve years and in the last few months he was with the WWE, you could tell his heart wasn’t really in it anymore. Like so many other current (and former) Superstars, he was suffering from the burnout of working for a company who plays favorites with it’s employees. Change is good and Matt’s good at making things change.

  2. Yea hardy boy, this is just your beggining, you always be champion ,no matter anywhere you find yourself, there will always be a change for better. move on boy

love youuuuu, your style, your respect, sky is your limit

  3. Oh crap I didn’t realize that he has already been released…and I just finished commenting under an article only talking about the possibility of him being released…lmao oh well. Well good for Matt. I think it’s time for him to move on. WWE wasn’t pushing him anymore and they clearly value Jeff more than him anyway. He’d be better on TNA. I watch TNA too and I can tell that since they’re still an upcoming promotion, they push ALL of their superstars as much as they can. Best of luck to Matt Hardy, and if he does come to TNA, well all the more reason for me to keep watching.
