Backstage Story on Jeff Hardy Turn, JWoww’s TNA Appearance Official

Spike TV issued a press release touting JWoww’s confirmed appearance for Thursday’s edition of TNA iMPACT. Hopeful that the “Jersey Shore” star’s gig on the show will fuel additional interest from the mainstream media, the press release includes a push for credentialed media to attend the taping.

— As would have been expected, Jeff Hardy’s turn at the TNA Bound for Glory pay-per-view was executed specifically because TNA’s creative team felt the move was unintuitive and would be unexpected. Prior to creative’s arriving at that twist, the expectation was that Rob Van Dam would be part of “they.”

According to F4WOnline.com, when creative was discussing options for a turn, the choice came down to Rob Van Dam or Jeff Hardy. Because the Rob Van Dam turn was the first choice and seemed to be the more logical of the two, creative felt inclined to go with the Hardy swerve as a surprise for viewers.
