WWE RAW Ratings Tank Against NFL, New Fall Shows

Week two of Monday Night Football and a host of series and season premieres on network television collectively caused WWE’s RAW rating to tumble into dangerous territory this week.

With competition from shows like “Dancing with the Stars,” “The Event,” “Hawaii Five-0” and “Two and a Half Men,” RAW fell to a 2.8 cable rating with 3.93 million viewers. The adults 18-49 rating clocked in at a mere 1.4.

While RAW was expected to take a hit this week, given the fact that the episode fell the night after a Night of Champions pay-per-view that saw the crowning of a new WWE Champion, the hope was that increased buzz in the episode would counteract the downward ratings pressure.
