“Big Bang Theory” Star Jim Parsons Finally Wins Emmy Award

The feeling within the entertainment community was that he was overlooked for his work on season one of “The Big Bang Theory.” He received a nomination for season two, but in what many felt was one of the night’s big robberies, he lost out to Alec Baldwin.

This year, however, the award would not elude Jim Parsons. At the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, Jim Parsons won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.

Parsons defeated “30 Rock”‘s Baldwin, “The Office”‘s Steve Carell, “Monk”‘s Tony Shalhoub, “Glee”‘s Matthew Morrison and “Curb Your Enthusiasm”‘s Larry David.
