Twitter Account Claims Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff are Leaving TNA Wrestling

A Twitter account falsely identified with Hulk Hogan announced that he and Eric Bischoff are departing the company.

In a series of Twitter updates Wednesday afternoon, an individual posing as Hulk Hogan “confirmed” the departure and said that new “leadership” was “coming in” to TNA Wrestling.

Update: The story has since been confirmed as false, with the author of the Twitter page, claiming to be a TNA wrestler, admitted it was a worked announcement designed to express frustrations with TNA management. (For the full story on this hoax, click here).

“I know you’ve heard the rumors brothers and they are true. Eric and I are leaving TNA on a mutual basis. I just got out of meetings now,” wrote the perpetrator of the Hulk Hogan hoax. “It was really fun but time to move on. TNA has a new leadership coming in. Make sure you Hulkamaniacs still support them. TNA needs the power of Hulkamania to live on brothers. Thank you Dixie and Bob Carter for the wonderful and positive experiences in TNA. Nothing but the best to you guys. Brothers, this isn’t the last of me though. You’ll be able to see me at ‘Hulk Hogan & Friends’ events on tour soon.”

Within moments of the wrestling media acknowledging the Tweets, they were taken down and later replaced with a lengthy rate about TNA management.
