Even More News On Paul Heyman to TNA, Another TNA Surprise?

As TNA’s Victory Road pay-per-view approaches, there remains a great deal of doubt that Paul Heyman will appear on tonight’s show, as many within the company hoped would occur.

While nothing could be ruled out, as of Sunday afternoon, Paul Heyman was in New York and a few major sticking points away from agreeing to join Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. According to F4WOnline.com, TNA “desperately [wants] him on the show” and likely made an aggressive attempt to secure Heyman over the weekend, but it is unlikely that enough could be done to get Heyman on the program, and many, in fact, have officially written off the possibility that Heyman will be live in Orlando.

ProWrestling.net bluntly says that Heyman is not in Orlando and will not be appearing on the show tonight.

Beyond the backstage role Heyman would play under the possible deal, Heyman would also appear as a television character. Per plans which assumed Heyman would have agreed to join TNA by now, he was to help take the ECW invasion angle to the next level on the Victory Road pay-per-view.

As Paul Heyman was intended to be one of the ‘surprises’ on tonight’s show, the company had apparently arranged at least one backup “surprise” for Victory Road, given the fact that a previous “surprise” that hinged on Heyman joining TNA had fallen through. F4WOnline.com reports that one such backup, which many believe has also fallen through, “would have had everyone groaning anyway” due to it being the debut of a “Tommy Dreamer-level guy” that no one, outside of TNA, would think is a big deal.
