Matt Serra Joins UFC 119 Card with Nogueiras, Frank Mir, Ryan Bader

Former UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Serra has reportedly been added to September’s UFC 119 card, which is expected to feature both Nogueira brothers in the co-main-events.

Matt Serra (Right) landed a right hand to K.O. Frank Trigg at the UFC Relentless event at the Mandalay Bay Casino Resort in Las Vegas,NV on February 6, 2010.

MMAJunkie said that Serra will fight Chris Lytle at the Indianapolis show on September 25, a rematch of the duo’s fight at the “Ultimate Fighter 4” finale. Serra squeaked by with a split (and controversial decision) and later used his victory title shot to defeat Georges St. Pierre for the UFC Welterweight Championship.

Serra most recently defeated Frank Trigg via knockout at UFC 109, while Lytle advances with a second round submission victory over Matt Brown at last week’s UFC 116.

Expected to headline the show are Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Frank Mir and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Ryan Bader.
