WWE High on Lay-Cool, Undertaker’s Status, Tiffany Update

WWE.com’s most recent “Diva Focus” gallery featured Diva Tiffany. For July 10, the Superstar of the Day is The Miz, while the Daily Diva is Layla.

On the subject of Layla, she and Michelle McCool–“Lay-Cool”–are on the receiving end of praise from WWE officials.

According to a report in F4WOnline.com’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE sources were initially embarrassed when TNA’s “The Beautiful People” group got so over, as it made WWE’s Diva roster look weak by comparison.

Even though Lay-Cool is something of a copycat gimmick, because the Layla-McCool duo is currently, in WWE’s eyes, more over than The Beautiful People, the company is proud to boast that it and its roster once again proved they can beat TNA in an apples-to-apples battle.

— On the subject of The Undertaker, the latest word from F4WOnline.com is that he underwent orbital bone surgery this week. The recovery time is estimated at 8-12 weeks, so the current plan has Undertaker resurfacing for Summerslam. At press time, there was no definitive word on who WWE intends to identify as his storyline attacker; names under consideration include Jack Swagger, the NXT Rookies, Kane, a developmental wrestler from FCW and even Batista, should he opt for an early return from hiatus.
