People reported Friday that Yankees player Nick Swisher and actress Joanna Garcia got engaged this week.
The story was confirmed by a representative for Garcia. The actress had previously been engaged to Justin Timberlake’s business partner Trace Ayala.
Swisher went public with the relationship in September of 2009, talking to various media outlets about “my lady” Joanna Garcia.
Garcia, who starred on series like “Reba” and “Privileged,” will be seen next season as one of the principals on ABC’s sitcom “Better Together.” Both have guest appearances on CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” in common.
