The CW Renews “One Tree Hill,” “Life UneXpected,” Orders “Nikita”

The CW manages to consistently frustrate with its scheduling decisions, but the fan reaction to Tuesday’s news will be notably more upbeat than usual.

The network officially renewed bubble series “One Tree Hill” and “Life UneXpected” for next season, proving that it will not just extend its ratings leniency to “90210.”

Also on the schedule for next year are new series “Nikita” and “Hellcats.” The “La Femme Nikita” update was considered a lock for the new season, while cheerleading series “Hellcats” had good odds due to its young-skewing subject matter and cast (including Ashley Tisdale).
