NBC Confirms 2010-11 Schedule, More on “Heroes,” “Parks,” “Law & Order”

NBC formally announced its 2010-11 schedule Sunday afternoon, confirming the roster that circulated through the television media world that morning.

NBC Universal Summer Press Day

Of note is the fact that NBC decided not to launch a second comedy night, instead postponing the return of “Parks and Recreation” and the premieres of “The Paul Reiser Show,” “Perfect Couples” and “Friends with Benefits” until midseason.

The network also showed no fear of the 10PM hour, scheduling new series “Chase,” “Law & Order: Los Angeles,” “Love Bites” and “Outlaw” in the late hour on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, respectively.

In the days prior to the announcement, NBC revealed that “Heroes” and the original “Law & Order” would not be returning next season. NBC executives told reporters that both dramas could receive a movie/special-event treatment as formal conclusions to their stories.

On the drama side, “The Cape” and “Harry’s Law” are booked for midseason.
