“Iron Man 2” Bests “Robin Hood” in Box Office Battle

Despite suffering a massive decline from its premiere number last weekend, “Iron Man 2” did well enough Friday to hold off newcomer “Robin Hood.”

“Iron Man” grossed $15 million Friday, which gave it a slight edge over the latest “Robin Hood” adaptation ($13.1 million). “Iron Man 2″‘s domestic tab is now at $174.2 million; at this point in 2008, “Iron Man” was at $141.5 million.

“Letters to Juliet” followed with $5 million, topping newcomer “Just Wright”‘s $2.9 million Friday pull. “A Nightmare on Elm Street” landed in fifth with $1.5 million.
