ABC Family’s “10 Things I Hate About You” Gets Canceled

After giving bubble show “Greek” another season, ABC Family decided not to extend its generosity a second time. Comedy “10 Things I Hate About You” will not continue past this season, says executive producer Carter Covington.

“Sad news… ABCFamily canceled the show 🙁 Thanks 2 our AMAZING fans – U R the reason I do this! Enjoy the last 5 eps – they’re fantastic,” Tweeted Covington.

Currently in the second half of its debut season, “Things” has been a ratings disappointment this spring. The most recent airing posted a mere 0.3 adults 18-49 rating with .888 million viewers, according to Travis Yanan. Its teen demo figure was a 1.0, an uninspiring number for an ABC Family original.

“10 Things I Hate About You,” which debuted last summer, was a television adaptation of the 1999 film.
