“The Back-Up Plan” Ahead of “The Losers” At Weekend Box Office

A tightly-contested Friday box office battle fell in the favor of new Jennifer Lopez vehicle “The Back-Up Plan.”

Lopez’s new romantic comedy grossed $4.2 million Friday, which gave it the edge over a mix of holdovers and new release “The Losers.”

“How to Train Your Dragon” stayed put in second place, pulling an estimated $3.4 million. “Date Night” followed with $3.3 million, while “The Losers” landed just behind with $3.2 million.

“Kick-Ass,” which ended up taking the title last week when all data was tallied, fell by more than 60% to just $2.9 million for a fifth place finish Friday. “Death at a Funeral” was sixth with $2.4 million; in it second day of release, “Oceans” landed at eighth with $2 million.

  1. The subsequent time I read a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one. I mean, I do know it was my choice to read, however I truly thought youd have one thing interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about one thing that you could possibly repair when you werent too busy looking for attention.
