“Southland,” “War at Home” Stars Join Triple H in WWE Movie

WWE Films officially announced Monday that Michael Rapaport (“The War at Home”) and Michael Cudlitz (“Southland”) will join Triple H in upcoming film “Killing Karma.”

Filming in New Orleans, the film stars HHH as AJ, a recently-released convict (for murdering his stepfather) who aims to turn his life around. Things quickly go awry when AJ’s friend Jack (Rapaport) accidentally involves him in a shooting. Jack’s father and mob boss Vic Small (Bruce Dern) seeks retribution against Jack, prompting AJ to defend his fleeing friend, even if it means returning to prison.

Cudlitz plays a local detective hoping to solve the shooting. Parker Posey and Julie White also star.

Triple H apparently placed fellow WWE Superstar Batista in the lead role. Reasons for the casting change are presently unknown.
