Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert Claim ACM Vocalist of the Year Awards

Country fan favorites Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert fought off top competition to earn the 45th annual ACM awards for top vocalists this year, as confirmed during Sunday’s broadcast of the awards ceremony.

Paisley, whose “American Saturday Night” was released during the past year, is a frequent winner and earned the prize for his fourth consecutive year. He topped Kenny Chesney, Darius Rucker, George Strait and Keith Urban for the award.

Lambert, who also took home “Album of the Year” for “Revolution,” ended Carrie Underwood’s streak with her first female vocalist victory. She beat out Underwood, Reba McEntire, Lee Ann Womack and Taylor Swift.
