WWE RAW Rating Tanks, TNA iMPACT! Jumps

The early indication is that TNA benefited from its one-time move to the 8PM hour, as the show rebounded from last week’s disastrous rating.

This week’s iMPACT! scored a 0.86 household rating, off hours of 0.91 and 0.82. The downturn from hour one to hour two is never a good sign, and the idea of a 0.86 rating being touted as positive for TNA in 2010 is somewhat absurd, but at least the show had the positive of knowing it recovered from last week’s nightmare.

Among adults 18-49, the show posted a 0.5 rating. Total viewership was 1.195 million viewers. The peak segments were a 0.98 for the third quarter hour (Knockouts promos, Rob Terry vs. Homicide, the beginning of the Knockouts match) and a 0.97 for the overrun.

WWE RAW, meanwhile, had both of its hours go head-to-head with the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship and paid the price. Its rating fell to a 3.2.

The show struggled notably among adults 18-49, dipping to just a 1.7 in the demo (off hours of 1.6 and 1.8). Total viewership was 4.598 million viewers, off hours of 4.301 and 4.895 million.
