WWE NXT Rating Moves Upward With WrestleMania Momentum

A combination of WWE’s post-WrestleMania momentum and the hook of revealing the “Pro Poll” result finally put an end to WWE NXT’s ratings decline.

Tuesday’s airing hopped up to a 1.0 cable rating with 1.30 million viewers. Among total watchers, the audience climbed 20% for this week’s episode.

Though the climb is fairly significant on paper, the ratings were still below the numbers of the initial episodes and thus do not represent any sort of sign that NXT is about to break out as a hit. There is also no clear indication that the numbers will hold once the post-Mania buzz dies down.

That noted, it is always positive for a new series when a ratings decline is reversed.

Interestingly, the show held steady at a 0.4 in the adults 18-49 demographic.
