Chris Jericho on WWE NXT: I Didn’t Have a Choice

Chris Jericho might be one of the more entertaining components of WWE NXT, and his rookie Wade Barrett might be one of the performers to watch, but according to Y2J, he did not technically ask to be part of the show.

“I wasn’t really given a choice in performing,” says Jericho in an interview with ESPN. “I was basically just told I was going to be on the show and that was it.”

Jericho, nonetheless, feels it is a “good concept” with “some bugs that need to be worked out.”

He further notes, “I like my protege, Wade Barrett. I think he’s got great presence and a great character. I also think Daniel Bryan, obviously, is an extraordinary performer as well. Those two guys stand out to me right off the bat.”
