“American Idol” Waves Goodbye to a Second Female

Thursday’s “American Idol” results show continued going the way of the predictable as another one of Tuesday’s weaker performers waved goodbye to the competition.

Following a performance by last year’s fourth place finisher Allison Iraheta, host Ryan Seacrest dimmed the lights to complete the female portion of the elimination process.

With Crystal Bowersox, Lacey Brown, Lilly Scott, Didi Benami, Paige Miles and Ashley Rodriguez all awaiting news on their fate, who would be the one dropped from the competition?

It was Ashley Rodriguez, who failed to make a mark with her rendition of “Happy.” Rodriguez joined Janell Wheeler in leaving the competition.

Didi Benami was the last of the aforementioned girls sent to safety, but it was again not made clear that she was one of the lowest vote-getters.

The female “Idol” pack is now down to ten: Crystal Bowersox, Lacey Brown, Lilly Scott, Didi Benami, Paige Miles, Haeley Vaughn, Siobhan Magnus, Michelle Delamor, Katie Stevens, Katelyn Epperly.
