Betty White Expected To Host “Saturday Night Live,” But Not Alone

Entertainment Weekly offered a positive report for those involved in the grassroots campaign to score the 88-year-old Betty White a guest-hosting gig on “Saturday Night Live”–it is reportedly quite close to happening.

Unfortunately for those staunch supporters of the “Golden Girls” actress, she apparently will not receive sole hosting duties.

EW’s Ausiello Files says that SNL envisions booking White as part of a “Women of Comedy” contingent; Molly Shannon would also reportedly be on board, and the show hopes to round out the group with Tina Fey and Molly Shannon.

It should be noted that NBC is not publicly confirming any aspect of the story; nonetheless, it appears inevitable at this point that White will be involved as an SNL host in some capacity.
