Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” Set to Dominate Album Sales Chart

Riding the breakthrough performance of the title single, Lady Antebellum’s sophomore album “Need You Now” will debut atop next week’s album chart with as many as 400,000 units sold.

Based on one day sales extentions, Hits Daily Double puts the mainstream country trio’s projected total for the week at 375-400,000. If the numbers hold up, the album’s opening sales week will even top the opening week performance of last year’s “Play On” from crossover sensation Carrie Underwood.

In distant second will be the “Hope for Haiti Now” album, which should move about 150,000 in its second week.

Elsewhere, Corinne Bailey Rae’s “The Sea” will be good for about 50-55,000, while Barry Manilow’s “The Greatest Love Songs of All Time” should pull just under 45,000.

Celtic Woman’s “Songs from the Heart” will land at about 30-35,000, topping the latest “Kidz Bop” by about 5-10,000.
