“How I Met Your Mother” To ‘Suit Up’ For Sixth Season

The good news surrounding “How I Met Your Mother” continues. Just a week after posting a season high rating among adults 18-49 and two weeks after hitting the 100 episode milestone, the Emmy-nominated CBS comedy scored a sixth season renewal, reports THR.

Technically a ‘bubble series’ for the past few seasons due simply to CBS’ high standards for Monday comedies, each season has brought less and less doubt regarding the show’s future. Between its status as one of the most buzzed-about sitcoms on the air, its continuous critical acclaim and awards notice and its steady, solid ratings, “How I Met” has become a valuable part of CBS’ schedule. It now moves into a guaranteed sixth season on the network.

“Two and a Half Men” and “The Big Bang Theory” had already been confirmed for next season; joint 8:30PM players “Accidentally on Purpose” and “Rules of Engagement” have not yet received news on their fates.
