Rumor Claims WWE Champion Lost Real-Life Fight

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports a rumor claiming WWE Champion Sheamus lost a real-life fight to a much smaller colleague.

If the story is true, Sheamus angered Ted DiBiase and Yoshi Tatsu, with whom he had been rooming when they lived in Tampa, by using their supplement shaker bottles without cleaning them out afterwards. During one argument, Sheamus threw the bottle at Tatsu, who caught the cup.

The argument escalated, and Sheamus apparently called Tatsu out for a fight. Tatsu has some boxing ability and reportedly got the clear better of Sheamus in the fight.

Given the fact that Sheamus has some lockerroom heat for his relationship with Triple H, the story emerged recently as wrestlers tried to float the situation to Vince McMahon. McMahon is known for strongly believing that his champions should not be exposed in real life fights; when Booker T beat up Batista, for instance, it took the latter a while to regain his credibility with the WWE Chairman.

At the same time, because the story came about to expose Sheamus to WWE officials, one has to wonder if it played out exactly the way the rumor claims.
