Bret Hart Confirmed For WWE RAW, WWE Teases Angle With HBK

December 28, 2009
By Brian Cantor

As was expected, Vince McMahon confirmed on Monday’s RAW that Bret “Hit Man” Hart will return to the squared circle as the guest host of next week’s episode.

A move designed in part to prevent TNA from siphoning viewers for its Monday night iMPACT! special, which features the debut of Hulk Hogan, Hart’s guest hosting appearance is expected to set the stage for a three-month stint that includes a WrestleMania match with Vince McMahon.

Based on Shawn Michaels’ teasing on RAW that “only good things will come,” there also appears to be an interaction between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart planned. WWE.com added to this implication, noting, “Perhaps more on the minds of the WWE Universe is the almost guaranteed encounter between the WWE Chairman and the Hit Man. What might happen between these two men? And what of a potential meeting between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels?”

The Bret Hart-hosted edition of RAW airs on January 4, 2010.
