“Two and a Half Men” actor Charlie Sheen was arrested on a domestic violence charge Christmas morning, with a rep cautioning the media not to be “misled by appearance.”
Aspen Police Department officers responded to a domestic violence call early Christmas morning. The 44-year-old actor was arrested on second degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief.
“Appearance and reality can be as different as night and day. It would benefit everyone not to jump to any conclusion,” said Sheen’s rep Stan Rosenfield.
Sheen was to be held in Pitkin County Jail. The alleged victim and accuser was not identified in reports, but many outlets are jumping to the conclusion that it was Sheen’s wife Brooke Mueller, with whom he tied the knot last year.
