Backstage Reaction to Scott Hall in TNA, More Names Returning?

December 23, 2009
By Brian Cantor

– The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that while most within TNA are confident Scott Hall will get an audience pop for his return to the iMPACT! Zone, there was a feeling of disappointment with the news that Hall would be rejoining the company.

Hall is nowhere near the performer he once was, and as he is a backstage liability of sorts, most believe his signing is indicative of the fact that Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff are caught up on reliving the “glory days.” The internal feeling has been that while names like Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair are crucial in getting TNA over as major league, there should be more of a battle plan than simply trying to re-sign popular names from the 1990s.

Sean Waltman has not been confirmed for that taping, but he has reportedly been telling friends that he, too, is coming back. Most are under the impression that his word is correct.

– The Observer adds that the company hopes to re-sign Angelina Love in the new year.
