Bret Hart Surprise, Latest on Jeff Hardy’s Court Issues

December 1, 2009
By Brian Cantor

– Jeff Hardy reports to court for his probable cause hearing this Wednesday. If the court finds that there is probable cause to continue charging Hardy with his list of drug-related offenses, his case would go before a Grand Jury.

The Baltimore Sun picked up Bret Hart’s recent, surprising declaration that Melina is the “best wrestler in the world right now.”

“I think Melina is really creative and imaginative,” said Hart in an interview with Ministry of Slam. “She’s an innovator and she comes up with some great matches. I love watching her wrestle. In a lot of ways, I think she’s the best wrestler in the world right now.”

The Baltimore Sun article, questioning the validity of Hart’s assessment, cracks that it “sounds like he has targeted Melina as his next [romantic] conquest.”

Interestingly, despite all the press Hart has gotten recently, little focuses on the report from several months ago that Hart was open to returning to WWE.

Melina is not the best female performer on her own brand. Gail Kim is.

Melina is not the best female performer in the WWE. Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, Natalya Neidhart, and Gail Kim are.

Bret needs to not think with his “Hitman” and start watching the matches to see who the best female performers are. Some women are among the best wrestlers in the world but Melina isn’t close.
