Major WWE Star Not Really Gone?, Possible SmackDown! Spoiler

Reports from Saturday’s SmackDown! brand house show confirmed that Rey Mysterio wrestled in the main event. The appearance, made more intriguing by the fact that Mysterio did not sell or reference the storyline injuries he suffered at the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, contradicted reports that Mysterio planned to take several months off to undergo knee surgery.

According to F4WOnline.com, there is a possibility that the Mysterio house show appearance was not a one-time deal. The wrestler is reportedly present at tonight’s SmackDown! taping and expected to work the show.

Originally scheduled to continue his feud with Batista for several months, putting off his knee surgery until the new year, Mysterio allegedly decided to opt for an immediate surgery that could potentially have had him ready to work the upcoming WrestleMania event.

Unless WWE is planning another injury angle for tonight’s SmackDown, it appears Mysterio has once again changed his surgery plans and will indeed resume his duties on the SmackDown! brand.
