Taylor Swift Joins Weezer, Blink 182 In Hype For “Band Hero” (View)

Set to release next week, “Band Hero” offers a more pop-friendly alternative to the “Guitar Hero” and “Rock Band” games. Designed with gameplay similar to that of “Guitar Hero 5,” the softer, more family-friendly game soundtrack features songs from Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, Hilary Duff, Jesse McCartney, Tonic, the Jackson 5, The Bravery and the Spice Girls.

In promoting the game, Taylor Swift, Rivers Cuomo (Weezer frontman), Travis Barker (Blink 182 drummer) and Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy bassist and lyricist) filmed commercials.

Having generated buzz for past parody commercials of Tom Cruise’s famous underwear-and-dress-shirt “Risky Business” scene, the series returned to the concept for one of its “Band Hero” advertisements.

Unfortunately for male fans, photos from the commercial shoot do not feature Taylor Swift in the “Risky Business” garb–Swift instead performs on stage wearing one of her signature sparkling dresses. The pop-punkers went “Risky.”

  1. I cannot believe how advanced 3-d technology is becoming latley. Pretty soon they are putting out 3d cell phones and the 3ds handheld might be worth investing in. Nonetheless i feel that its somewhat gimmicky. Any views?
